Brunch at our house, the 4th of July / Porch flag / I made a big floral mess while designing the flowers for Lindsey & Sal's wedding last weekend!

We kicked off the holiday weekend with some all-American minor league baseball, followed by a top-notch fireworks display. There may have also been a hot dog eating competition, wherein two gentlemen tied for first place by eating eleven hot dogs in five minutes.

It was 95 degrees in the stands, but what's a southern summer without a near heatstroke experience?

This weekend, I'm looking forward to swimming in the river, a rehearsal dinner BBQ, and a wedding celebration.

Summer is here; we must all act accordingly.
