All things bright
Just a few photos from the weekend...
Lily of the valley blooms in our backyard / inchworm needs someplace to land / Friday night date by the fire / a summer evening on the porch / an A+ dinner party / Sunday brunch and book club / Mabel would like a tortilla chip, please.

Last call
Last night, we awoke at 3:00 a.m. to a gentleman in a baseball cap knocking on the front door and a waiting cab in our driveway. He was hollering, "Jessica? Is Jessica here?!"... but of course, he had the wrong house.
Jessica, wherever you are: you're better off.

February
These days, we're all reaching for just a little more sun.
This made me smile.
The fraught history of the American beard.
We'll miss you, Philip Seymour Hoffman. I was reminded yesterday of the saying, "Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a great battle".

November
I'm so busy at work, and with the new house, I can barely sleep at night. And it's not the busy trap. I am legit busy. November is a hectic month, but at the end? That very last weekend? My favorite holiday. I can't wait to get cozy and celebrate with family and friends.
Mabel and autumn leaves outside of Caldwell Hall / new living room in the afternoon light.
I'll admit it: when I read Laurie Anderson's farewell to her husband, I cried into my coffee. It's beyond words.
