Currently reading

On marriage.

On sleep.

On selfies.

On regret

And! Spring: aren't you glad it's right around the corner? There's a small hellebore in the corner of our front yard, and these lovelies are just now blooming. I can't get enough.

Spring sunlight / a busy Sunday morning

P.S. Have you ever noticed Snoopy's laugh? So great.

Last call

Last night, we awoke at 3:00 a.m. to a gentleman in a baseball cap knocking on the front door and a waiting cab in our driveway. He was hollering, "Jessica? Is Jessica here?!"... but of course, he had the wrong house.

Jessica, wherever you are: you're better off.

Fir trees

Valentine's weekend, all snowed in.

Among other activities, we discovered that Mabel likes (loves) wasabi peas.

Quieter

Things that are happening / that I am loving:

This quote, found in a great article on lasting love: ‘Love doesn’t just sit there, like a stone; it has to be made, like bread, remade all the time, made new.’

This book.

Campfire candles, all over my house.

It's open barn weekend at Celebrity Dairy. Baby goats!

And, maybe this weekend I'll get around to finishing last week's Sunday NY Times.

February

These days, we're all reaching for just a little more sun.

This made me smile.

The fraught history of the American beard.

We'll miss you, Philip Seymour Hoffman. I was reminded yesterday of the saying, "Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a great battle".
